This programme offers free Level 1 Training for employees working in the retail, food and drink, and apparel sectors.

The Portobello Business Centre and its partners (Thames Valley University, the London School of Accountancy and the London Enterprise College) are experienced in delivering work based learning to employees.

Support is also available for those who need literacy or numeracy needs traditions.

Courses available include:
  • business and computing
  • computerised accounts
  • customer care
  • food hygiene
  • health & safety
  • hospitality
The programme is open to anyone who:
  • is self-employed or employed by a business with fewer than 250 employees
  • is working in the retail, food and drink, and apparel sectors
  • does not have a qualification higher than Level 1 (five or more O levels or GCSEs)
  • has the right to work in the UK
  • lives in the London Boroughs of Brent, Camden, City of London, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth, Southwark, Wandsworth, City of Westminster.
