About the trainer

Simon Clark has spent more than 30 years at the forefront of IT innovation - from introducing Ethernet in the eighties to pioneering switching, routing and early solid-state firewalls.

As cyber threats have rapidly evolved, he’s helped organisations stay ahead of emerging risks, increasingly guiding them toward cloud and SaaS-based security tools that deliver stronger, simpler, and more cost-effective protection.

With experience across blue-chip giants and start-ups - including Cisco and Brocade - Simon brings a rare, end-to-end understanding of modern cyber technologies and how they fit into real-world security strategies.

He founded FortNet in 2020 to provide independent, practical guidance, cutting through complexity and translating technical challenges into clear, actionable insights his clients can use immediately.
