A New Step Forward for Sustainability + Business Support

For 30 years, Portobello Business Centre has been helping people start and grow their own businesses - supporting economic development across London.

But as a business ourselves, we also need to be innovative in how we generate income. With government support uncertain, council budgets under pressure and SME funding stretched year after year, we know we must adapt.

That’s why we’re excited to share a new chapter in our journey: we’re now accepting donations in Bitcoin.

This step is about more than embracing innovation. It’s about:

• Strengthening our long-term sustainability as a non-profit social enterprise

• Opening up new ways for people to support our mission

• Ensuring we can continue providing support where it’s needed most - particularly in deprived areas of the UK

We’re proud to be working alongside the Sustainable Society Trust, who helped us set up as a Bitcoin receiver. The Trust’s trustees are also the founding partners of Bridge2Bitcoin, whose expertise has guided us through the process. Together, their mission is to help charities and non-profits build sustainable income streams while educating organisations on the role Bitcoin can play in this future.
