Winner of Hustle Hub

At Portobello Business Centre, one of our biggest priorities is helping ambitious entrepreneurs take their next step forward. Through the Ready Set Grow programme, supported by the Hustle Hub, we’ve had the privilege of meeting some truly inspiring business owners who are working hard to turn their ideas into sustainable success stories.

This year, we created a £5,000 grant pot in collaboration with Hill Group, who generously donated to support small business owners pitching their vision at Hustle Hub. The competition was strong, but five winners stood out each with clear goals and a strong understanding of how extra support could help them scale. Today, we’re shining a spotlight on one of those winners: Kyle E. Worrell, founder of KEWthevalet.

A pitch with clarity and confidence

When Kyle took the stage at Hustle Hub, what immediately stood out was his clarity. He knew exactly what he wanted and how it would make a difference. Rather than simply asking for funding, Kyle walked us through his goals step by step from strengthening his brand visibility to expanding the range of services he could offer clients.

He explained that running a small business as a one-man band can be both rewarding and challenging. Without a team behind him, everything depends on his own determination, drive and ability to connect with customers. Yet Kyle presented his pitch with warmth and professionalism, showing a deep commitment to building a business rooted in quality and care. It was this combination of ambition, clarity and personality that made his pitch stand out.

About KEWthevalet

Kyle is the founder of KEWthevalet, a mobile car valeting business that puts convenience and care at its core. Instead of customers having to queue up at busy car washes, Kyle brings the service directly to them – at their homes, offices or wherever is most convenient.

What sets KEWthevalet apart is the attention to long-term vehicle care. While many car washes rely on quick fixes and harsh chemicals that can damage paintwork, Kyle uses products and techniques designed to protect and preserve vehicles. His service is about more than just leaving a car looking clean, it’s about maintaining value and giving customers confidence that their vehicle is in safe hands. For busy professionals, families and businesses, this approach has proven to be both practical and trustworthy.

The Ready Set Grow award

From the £5,000 Ready Set Grow grant pot, Kyle has been awarded:

  • £1,400 towards advanced deep scratch correction training – equipping him with specialist skills to expand his service offering and provide even greater value to his clients

  • £300 towards vinyl branding for his van – turning his vehicle into a moving advertisement that will promote KEWthevalet 24/7

This investment directly addresses the areas Kyle highlighted in his pitch. The advanced training will give him the expertise to handle more complex and higher-value jobs, while the vinyl branding ensures his business becomes more visible to potential customers wherever he goes.

Why it matters

For many entrepreneurs, the hardest part of growing a business is moving from surviving to scaling. Grants like Ready Set Grow provide that extra boost to help business owners make meaningful investments that might otherwise feel out of reach. In Kyle’s case, the funding represents more than just money. It’s an investment in skills, visibility and credibility – three things that are vital for small business growth. By strengthening his professional toolkit and giving his brand greater presence, Kyle is now positioned to attract more clients, grow sustainably and continue building a reputation for trust and quality.

Looking ahead

We are proud to support Kyle on this journey and can’t wait to see how KEWthevalet continues to grow in the months and years ahead. His story is a reminder of why Ready Set Grow exists – to give talented entrepreneurs the recognition, resources and encouragement they need to take their next big step.

Congratulations, Kyle 👏

Stay tuned as we share more winner stories from Ready Set Grow, each showing how determination, creativity and community support can make a real difference in the world of small business.
